The house is 16 miles from Welshpool and 12 miles from Newtown, and is quite remote. Entering the postcode in your satnav should bring you to our front door. Alternatively, follow the directions below. There are several places in Mid Wales called Cefn Coch, so be careful!

Please park on the road outside the house, and arrive at your pre-arranged time as there are no waiting facilities. Knock on the front door and I will be right with you.

From Welshpool : 

take the A458 (towards Dolgellau) due West towards Llanfair Caereinion. After 7 miles turn left off the A458 and cross over the river bridge into the town of Llanfair Caereinion. Follow the main street which veers right and uphill, and then turn left, signposted to ‘New Mills – Newtown – Cefn Coch – Carno’. After approximately 400 metres take the first right, signposted to ‘Cefn Coch – Carno’. Continue for 4 miles – enter the small village of Cefn Coch. In the middle of the village is a left turn by a pub, (the Cefn Coch Inn), signposted to ‘Llanllugan – Adfa’. Follow this road for 1 mile, where you will see a right turn signposted ‘Carmel – Carno’. Turn right here, then almost immediately left, signposted ‘Carmel’, between some houses. Follow this road for nearly a mile to the house, past a ‘No Through Road’ sign and a sign for ‘Carmel Caravan Park’, past large farm buildings on the left, over the brow of a hill where you see solar panels on a roof ahead, and Plas Helyg is a large house on the left, next to this building.

From Newtown : 

take the Llanfair Road, B4389 (towards Tregynon). After 7 miles, and past Tregeynon, turn left off the B4389 signposted to ‘Llanwyddelan – Adfa’, (and ‘Gwernydd Hall Holiday Home Park’). After approximately 500 metres take the first left, over a bridge, signposted to ‘Llanwyddelan – Adfa – Cefn Coch’. Continue for 3 miles, through Adfa, until you see a left turn signposted ‘Carmel. Turn left here, follow the road to the end and then turn left again, past a ‘No Through Road’ sign and a sign for ‘Carmel Caravan Park’. Follow this road for half a mile to the house, past large farm buildings on the left, over the brow of a hill where you see solar panels on a roof ahead, and Plas Helyg is a large house on the left, next to this building.
